On April 7-9, 2017, Northwest Majors IX will take place with 14 different games and 19 different events. Many different communities have worked with us to make this a must attend for our region (and in some cases, the country). However, this will not be a CPT event.

On September 30 – October 1, Northwest Majors will be hosting a major September event featuring not only Street Fighter V, but Tekken 7 and Injustice 2 as well, two titles that would not be released on console in time for NWM9.

September will be an official Capcom Pro Tour tournament. There are fewer of them this time around, each one is worth more points, and you can no longer compete in regional finals without residing in that region.

Capcom has worked hard to make each event matter more and to respond to feedback from last year. This not only helps out the community as a whole, but our region as well.

When more details are put out there by Capcom or other organizers, we’ll have dates for the full roster of tournament. That being said, it looks like we’ll be one of the last chances for players trying to qualify for both the CPT NA Finals and CPT 2017.

As for our announcements, we’ll have a lot more to say after NWM9 is complete. We are looking to push what can be done for each player’s experience and we may have some partners who can help us realize our dreams.

Until then, save the date, spread the word, and get ready.
