Rules

General Rules across ALL games

All games will be played on the default settings, unless otherwise specified below.
All macros available via the in-game controller configuration menu are allowed.
Hardware programmable input entry, rapid-fire, or other hardware assisted mechanisms are strictly forbidden.
Accidentally pausing the game at any time during the fight may force you to forfeit the round, unless guaranteed death (solely at a judge’s discretion).
Any player using “Random Select” to pick their character must “Random Select” again if they win the match, provided that there is no way to pick a certain character in the random box.
You must provide your own controller/arcade stick
All converters are the responsibility of the player.
As of 1/1/2014, The Cronus Adapter and Cronus MAX adapter is permanently banned due to stealth macros and potential to damage consoles, rendering ports unusable.
All wireless controllers are banned.  THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE PADS WITH DONGLES IE WIRELESS MADCATZ PAD FOR PS3 or similar controllers
Collusion of any kind with your competitors is considered cheating. If the Tournament Director determines that any competitor is colluding to manipulate the results or intentionally underperforming, the collaborating players may be immediately disqualified. This determination is to be made at the sole discretion of the Tournament Director. Anyone disqualified in this manner forfeits all rights to any titles or prizes they might have otherwise earned for that tournament.

Game Settings: Versus Mode, 99 Seconds, 2/3 Rounds, 2/3 Games, No Handicap

Winner may change ultra, but has to pick ultra first after loser picks character.
OMEGA Mode and EDITION select are banned

Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3: US XBOX360

Ruleset: Evolution
Format: Double Elimination

Game Settings: 99 Seconds, 3/5 Games, Default Handicap, Default Damage
You may not use any glitch that prevents the game from being played. This includes game freezing, game resetting, player freezing, etc.
Winner must keep exact same team (including assists), but may switch order of assists via loading screen.
Galactus is banned in tournament play.

Super Smash Bros Melee Singles: US Gamecube

Ruleset: From Smashboards

Items are set to off.
Stock and Time are set to 4 stock and 8 minutes respectively.
The Tournament Host is the arbiter of all disputes.
Double Blind Picks: the first character selection of a set must be without prior knowledge of the opponent’s character selection for both players.
Dave’s Stupid Rule: A player may not counterpick any stage they have won on.
No bans in a best-of-5 set.
Gentleman’s Clause: any stage may be played on so long as both players and the Tournament Host agree to it, including banned stages.

Wobbling is LEGAL (even for people not named Boback)
Timed out matches will be determined by the remaining number of lives, then percentage of the current stock. In the event of a percentage tie, replay that match. Any Sudden Death match is strictly not to be played.

Super Smash Bros Melee Doubles: US Gamecube

Project M: US Nintendo Wii

Ruleset: Paragon

Items off and set to none, 8 Minutes, 4 Stocks, Buffer off
No excessive stalling (Rising Pound, Luigi ladder, etc.)
Double Blind is offered at request
You cannot counter pick to any stage you have already won on
Gentleman’s Clause: Any stage may be played on if both players agree to it.
If a match times out, the winner is determined by remaining stocks, then lowest percentage on the same stock.
Pausing Results in a stock loss, at the discretion of the opponent.
If each player has one stock remaining and the match ends due to a suicide move (Ganon’s side-B, DDD’s swallow, holding someone in a grab on a platform as it moves out of the boundaries, etc.), the player who initiated the move wins.
No Giga Bowser or Wario Man (This should go without saying. SoPo is fine).

Stage Bans:
During the stage ban phase, the player who won the
previous game may ban 2 stages from either the Starter or Counterpick
lists.

Stage Striking:
Players eliminate stages from the Starter list until there
is one stage remaining. The player/team with port priority strikes first.
Then the other player/team strikes two stages. Then the player/team
with port priority strikes one more stage and the remaining stage is used
for the first game of the set.

Port Priority:
If there is a dispute in controller port selection use the
following method: Teams will used a random method such as
Rock­Paper­Scissors, Coin Flip, or Game and Watch Judgment, where
the winner selects either first choice in port selection or first choice in
stage striking. Whichever team does not receive first choice in port
selection will be compensated with first choice in stage striking.

All infinites and chain grabs are legal
Meta Knight’s infinite dimensional cape tactic is banned.
Meta Knight is not legal on Halberd or Delfino Plaza. A Meta Knight
player may use both stage bans on these stages to avoid being forced
to change characters.

Super Smash Bros.: Nintendo 64

Ruleset: Smashboards
Format: Double Elimination

Game Settings: 5 Stocks, Best of 3 Games. Best of 5 Games for: Winners Semis, Winners Finals, Losers Quarters, Losers Semis, Losers Finals and Grand Finals
Items are disabled.
Any stage may be played on if both players agree to it.
Accidental pausing results in a loss of the current stock and a restart of the match at the resulting stock counts. The opponent can choose to forego the restart
Players may request that Black DK (Right-C), Dark Samus (Down-C) and Dark Falcon (Right-C) not be used if Congo Jungle is the stage. The opposing player may reset the match without penalty if they wish for a color change if neither player have taken damage.
Alternate or custom controllers/adapters such as a keyboard, Gamecube controller or a Hori Mini Pad are allowed. Players suspected of using turbo functions or other macros are subject to immediate disqualification.

Neutral Stages
-Dream Land (First match is always Dream Land)

-Congo Jungle
-Peach’s Castle

Match Procedure
-Players select their characters. Either player may choose to Blind Pick. In this case, each player secretly tells a third player their character before picking with the third player verifying their selections.
-The players play the first match of the set on Dream Land.
-The Losing player of the preceding match picks a stage for the next match from either the Neutral or Counter-Pick list. They cannot pick a stage they’ve already won on during this set, unless agreed.
-The winning player of the preceding match may choose to change characters.
-The losing player of the preceding match may choose to change characters.
-The losing player of the preceding match may change their controller port.
-The next match is played
-Repeat Steps 3 through 7 for all subsequent matches until the set is complete.

There will be no customizing colors, names or items at any time before or during a tournament match. Any player that does so will be given a loss.
Item moves for characters that are already customized are banned.
